what is ESCOTA?

The East Side Council on the Aging is a voluntary not-for-profit interagency interdisciplinary organization for professionals in the field of aging.

ESCOTA brings together skilled practitioners from the public and private sectors. Among them are representatives of community, health, religious, and social service organizations, as well as other advocates for the elderly who offer diverse assistance to older people living on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

Through education, discussion and networking, the membership explores new approaches to dealing with the many challenges that mature adults experience in their daily lives. ESCOTA members work towards preserving independence and enhancing the health and well-being of the most mobile as well as the frailest community dwellers.

ESCOTA’s main source of revenue is membership dues.
