Michelman441 West 24th Street New York NY 10011 Tel: (212)633-2429 Fax: (212)627-2607 Email: Web Address: Services: Services are rendered to the elderly and their caregivers, are available at client's home where necessary, and include: •Help manage finances and bills, including maximizing income and keeping track of investments. •Maximize medical insurance benefits, whether from Medicare, Medigap, HMO's or other insurers including organizing medical insurance paperwork and filing persuasive appeals of rejected claims. •Negotiate over fees, benefits and services with hospitals, doctors, nursing homes, HMOs and other medical providers when problems arise. •Assist with tax records and filings and organize tax records. •Prepare living wills, healthcare proxies, powers of attorney and nursing home applications. •Work closely with families, professional geriatric care managers and attorneys specializing in elder law. •Provide administrative support to court-appointed guardians and to attorneys in connection with estate and trust management. Our fees are moderate and are frequently offset by the benefits collected or savings realized. Staff: Stephen E.
