Minutes from the January 14, 2010 General Membership Meeting

Date of Meeting: Thursday, January 14, 2010
Presentation: New Directions in Alzheimer’s Care and Research
Speaker: Jed A. Levine, Executive Vice President, Alzheimer's Association, New York City Chapter

Reeva Mager called the meeting to order at 3:15pm and welcomed the group. There were approximately 45 members present.

Ms. Mager introduced Sonya Weisshapple, who gave an update on the website. Ms Weisshapple explained that existing and new members are now able to renew or join, post their listing and pay the membership fee online.

Ms. Mager read the eulogy for Mary Beaudet from Columbia University, Mary’s alma mater. She then opened the meeting to anyone who wished to speak and share their memories. Leo Vaz, friend and colleague at Visiting Nurse Service gave a tribute in memory of the past ESCOTA chair.

The meeting was adjourned at 5pm.
